Partner Account Manager

Drive Lunar's Partner strategy, engaging with existing and new key partners to drive business within our partner eco-system.

The primary focus of the role is to drive Lunar's Partner strategy, engaging with existing and new key partners to drive business within our partner eco-system. You will actively leverage your profile, sales experience and capability to work strategically to drive our Colocation and HPC services. You would be expected to be able to generate new pipeline from our key accounts and bring with you an existing set of partner accounts, who would look to utilise DC services, either for their own IT needs or to deliver projects within their customer base. You’ll be expected to leverage strong, long-standing relationships to deliver new logos to the business. This role is perfect for highly experienced individuals who have a track record of delivering notable performance against targets and are excited by the prospect of working for the North West largest independent provider of premium datacentre space – joining us at a pivotal time in our growth with new products(HPC/GPU hosting) as well as expanding into new regions both in and outside of the UK.

Main Responsibilities

  • Working closely with our existing partners, engaging with their Sales and Procurement teams to ensure Lunar is their primary source for Colocation services.
  • Expanding the profile and reach of the Lunar Digital and its capability with the ultimate view of delivering notable revenue.
  • Engaging and sourcing new partners with a view of supporting their requirements and growing Lunar’s partner eco-system.
  • Tracking emerging markets and trends both within the UK market and those across EMEA/US.
  • Helps to shape the company’s long-term objectives and determine plans for how to meet them.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with vendors.
  • Generating your own qualified leads but also utilising the inside sales executives to prospect into verticals you identify as promising.
  • Creating strategic campaigns.
  • Conduct physical data centre tours for prospective clients.
  • Travel to meet partners and get close to the sales, marketing and procurement teams, working as an extension to drive mutually beneficial business.
  • Utilising the marketing team to increase brand awareness and generate pipeline.
  • Achieving your monthly target and completing key performance indicators both in terms of activity and sales.
  • Regularly maintain CRM and provide necessary sales reports.

Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years’ previous experience of working with a partner account manager role with a history of success.
  • Experience in regularly hitting targets.
  • Can demonstrate notable growth within key accounts.
  • Experience in working multi-rack/ cage or suite colocation opportunities.
  • Knowledge of connectivity and how this is a major driver for our customers.
  • Good technical understanding gained through telco / managed services / cloud datacentre background or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
  • Well-honed organisational skills.
  • Experience in strategic lead &/or deal qualification methodology.
  • Experience in deal closing via a multitude of methods
  • Experience of providing a responsive, customer focused service.
  • Ability to produce work to a consistently high standard within tight deadlines.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Driving Licence and own vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel both inside and outside of the UK.
